Now I know you may be thinking what the funk does personal branding have anything to do with my business? Well, a lot more than you know, actually…

You see, one of the lil know secrets I’ve come to know over the years is that, people do not give a crap about your business, products or comp plan…they could care less! The reason being, is because people don’t buy into businesses, they buy into people…people being YOU.

I mean think about it, people always want to work with the best. The best contractor for their house, the best mechanic for their car, the best doctor when they’re injured or sick…We are by nature, all bound to follow the leader.

So when you become an expert/authority in your market and become the leader that people want to follow, because you can show them how to acheive their dreams and goals… That’s when everyone and their mum will start popping out of the wood works, begging to join your business.

But were getting ahead of ourselves here. you must run before you can crawl…No wait reverse that, crawl before you can run…

Before you become the next Mr Guru of the home biz world, you first need to work your way up there. Now the obvious things to do are constant education, training, marketing, and networking to get your name out there of course…But there’s a whole other side to this ladder that your forgetting…

“Your Personal Brand”

Thats right, your brand is the absolute most import thing to develop if you truly want to join the ranks of the top 1%. It’s absolutley imperative that you set yourself apart from the crowd, otherwise what makes you anymore special, than Joe Schmo in XYZ opportunity that’s also trying to close your prospect?

So how does one set oneself apart from the crowd and control their brand?

Well I’m glad you asked that, because I’m going to give you two very important brand building strategy tips to do right now, right this moment, I don’t care if it’s 2am, get on this right away…because the more time you waste, could be a prospect or two passing you by for Joe Schmo!

1.) The Brand Called You: You need to write articles/create videos for these three keywords. Who is ___, ____ Review, and ____ Scam. Those are the top three keywords people use when doing their research on a person, product, place, service, etc… Just fill in the blanks with you name, and your good to go. Give people an honest review about you, don’t over exaggerate or anything, just give people what they want to know, so they know your the person to get in business with.

Chances are 9 times out of 10, you’ll rank first page with these very easily. So that means when people are checking you out, oh whats this? Joe Schmo review, hmm check it out, like what I see…I’m joining him! Boom easy as pie my friend.

2.) Socialize: You want to control the other 1st page listings with Social Media sites, and a personal blog. The social media should be a no brainer, Facebook, Twitter, And Youtube are apart of everyday life. And if you have your own profiles where people can see you on a more personal level and see what your all about, they’ll emotionally connect with you better, and will be that much more likely to join your team.

You should, if not already, have your own blog. Not only are Blogs great for SEO value, but when you write quality content, and give a lot of value consistently, you’ll start attracting a lot more people. People will spread your content all over the net, and before you know it, you’ll have, one of the handful of authority sites on the net!

So you see, personal branding isn’t really that hard to do. It just comes down to the simple fact of whether you’ll do the work or not. But hey, if you don’t feel like it, no worries, cause thats when your prospects find Joe Schmo (aka ME) and want to join me instead.
