Short Changed On Life

Short%20Changed%20On%20Life Short Changed On LifeI was talking to a good friend of mine today, and like most people, she has a lot of problems in her life. I won’t reveal the exact issues, but suffice to say shes not happy with where shes at in her life.

So I asked her “If you’re not happy, then why don’t you change whats making you upset? I mean If it doesn’t make you happy, or make you money…then let it go!, and move on”

And she said “I’m afraid of change, and not knowing whats going to happen.”

And I thought to my self, is this why so many people are unhappy with their lives. They hate there job, where they live, the car they drive, the relationship they’re in…but yet, if you present them with an opportunity to change things, they wimp out and come up with a bunch of B.S. excuses on why they can’t…excuse me, Why They WON’T change

I mean, when you really think about it, we’re only here for the blink of a second, though it may seem like a long time to us. In the grand scheme of things, we really don’t have much time to enjoy life.

So if were only given so little precious time to live, why do so many people waste the opportunity they were given? I mean how many people are actually in the career they want to be in? With their soul mates? Living where they want to live? Basically just doing the things they want to do…?

I can honestly say that very few could answer YES to any of those. If you’re unhappy with where you’re at in life, then it’s time to re-evaluate your current situation. I mean really sit down and write out your true dreams and goals. Then look at where you’re at currently, and if your current situation doesn’t align with your dreams and goals, then it’s time for a change.

Will it be easy? Of course not, but anything worth having is never easy to get. It takes a lot of hard work and determination to gain anything of real value.

Is it risky? Of course it is, it may require changing everything in your life, from the people you hang out with, to where you live.  But realize that the rewards of success, FAR out way any risks involved.

It’s as simple as that, it just comes down to, whether or not you want it bad enough…

“In any moment of decision the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing.”
- Theodore Roosevelt
