Tim Scott Acting

Fortunately for me, I’m one of those lucky few, who get to do what they truly want to do in life. I’m a professional film actor, but I’ve also dabbled in some T.V. as well. You’re probably wondering how this all this came about? Well I’d like to tell you that I was just walking down the street one day and some big time Director, spotted me, and threw me in as the lead in some big budget movie…,but it didn’t exactly happen that way.

I discovered my talent for acting by accident, I somehow got wrangled into taking the yearbook / morning announcements class in Jr. High. The very first day, of school I was thrown in font of the camera, expected to tape in just 15 mins! I don’t know about you, but the most time I spent on camera before, was for home movies with family, and even then I was shy. So you could imagine how terrified I was to do a show for over 2000 kids! Luckily, for me, I was a natural, and before you know it, I was picked as permanent host for the year, along with the freedom to create my own comedic skits

Eventually, I moved onto bigger and better things, with the one goal in mind of moving to L.A. to pursue acting full time. Unfortunately for me, I discovered the only way to support my passion was by working temp day jobs that I absolutely despised. But as luck would have it, I learned how to start my own business, which gave me the time and income I needed to support my career.

I’ve been lucky enough to be taught by some of the best acting coaches in the country, in various techniques which include the Meisner technique and Method acting. Both have their pro’s and con’s, but both were incremental in helping me develop my natural comedic and improv skills, with some drama added as well.

Over the past couple of years, I’ve been busy with leads roles, in three feature length films, that were all submitted to independent film festivals. I also worked on a parody soap opera based out of Portland, OR. But currently I’m in the works of writing a movie script, along with working on another independent film.
